Jessica King, LMFT
Jessica King, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the states of Colorado and Kentucky. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Whitworth University in 2012, and continued on to a Master’s in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Kentucky in 2016. She is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Functional Analytic Psychotherapy, Exposure Therapy, and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
Jessica’s first experience in mental health was as a volunteer in the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery in Spokane, WA providing emergent attachment-informed care to young children. She briefly interned in Chicago, IL as an auditor for a domestic violence program serving immigrant women. Both these experiences shaped her love of working with people who have endured traumatic experiences.

She worked in several positions as an intern therapist to obtain her graduate degree, including a specialized psychology practice treating OCD and PTSD. Most recently she worked as a staff therapist at Haven Family Services in Kentucky, providing in-home therapy for vulnerable youth and young adults; as well as maintaining a small private practice.
Jessica is inspired by clients who face multiple barriers to wellness, yet keep a stubborn desire to have a better life. She has worked with a wide range of people, including clients experiencing dual diagnosis, physical chronic disease, domestic violence, abusive relationships, sexual assault, and sexual offending histories. She believes that quality help should be available to anyone and everyone who wants to be happier and more fulfilled, regardless of background or history.
Jessica is an affirming and informed provider for people in kink, ethical non-monogamy, and LGBTQ+ lifestyles.
